·I don't think it's been a weak world cup at all. There hasn't been an obvious favourite or outstanding team but we tend to look back and remember players/teams as being better, more dominant and with greater skill. Perhaps it is all about luck as has been mentioned. Look at these lucky guys...

··This Space for RentBrazil in 2018 does not play with the 'flair' of teams in the past. It was true in 2014 as well, but at least they had a little more personality. In 2018 it seems like the only way playing like Brazilians of the past was the left back. Otherwise it seemed like "Give it to Naymar and let him go." And in my opinion Naymar is a great player, but he is all about speed and quickness and not flair.

·liking the use of the oasis track, don't look back in anger....
Southgate has done a great job with what is not a team of world class players. There are some top players, but our mid field and squandering goals away showed the problems and maybe lack of big game experience. Wind forward 4 years with a developed squad and I'd def look forward to playing the big teams. Could've and should've's are as irrelevant as some of the current tweets blaming the ref (who I thought did a job on the whole).
