·Taking a break today from the joys of autumn— splitting firewood, raking leaves - so wearing something more civilized than a beater tool watch to engage in another autumn tradition of husbands across the U.S….emergency run to the grocery store to get all the Thanksgiving feast ingredients the wife forgot to include on yesterday’s emergency grocery list. ·My late father’s 1952 GP. It was a first wedding anniversary gift from my late mother. The dial (Perregaux) was slightly dented in a wee mishap, then refinished, yet the divot was unable to be fully repaired. It’s small for me so I never wear it, but thought after years of mostly 38-41’s, my wrist time needed some perspective.
