Still Speedy Tuesday with my recently acquired 1971 145.022…just picked up my 1175/640 bracelet from the local Omega AD…had to have two links removed…celebrating by going through the Dunkin’ drive-thru in my 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT…

Still stuck with my terrapin but I’m glad voting is over so every can stfu for a while. Now if someone could just win the 2 billion powerball so I can stop thinking I might win with my two dollar ticket

“You must take good care of your toys, Sid Phillips!”

Better put the 1971 145.022 in its Omega travel case prior to skateboarding…

Pure action photo doesn’t even call for the red pointers you usually put in as it’s damn near a movie, well done.

I reckon I'm slightly more resilient than most locals who shriek 'it's too hot!' after 2-3 days of 26C weather (80F), and positively wither when it gets below 5C (40F). It's 0 (32) today. I lived for 30+ years in Calgary (@Canuck territory). I know a cold blast from a wee chill. 😁

A bit chilly today in Calgary, (Tuesday). -21° C (about -6 F°). Close to 20 mms of snow in 24 hours, (about 8 inches). At the worst, the AMA (AAA in Alberta) was saying 12-hours for a boost, and 36 hours for a tow! Do we live here out of choice, or out of necessity?

Both, I reckon! It's funny (or just plain crazy) but I actually miss that weather sometimes. My wife is a Regina girl and doesn't miss it at all! Ah, yes: waiting for a boost. That part I do not miss. Your street reminds me very much of my old neighbourhood (I grew up in Haysboro).

(And don't hate me: that light dusting we woke up to has now disappeared under brilliant sunshine...)

We lived in Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan) which is a bit west and south of Regina. We were there for 18 months (and my wife still hasn’t forgiven me for taking that transfer). When it was cold in M J during the winter, we always felt better when we heard that Regina was a degree or two colder. We have been back there once since we were transferred back to Calgary, 52 years ago! Hardly miss it at all. Haysboro is very nearby to us.

My wife is smiling - she knows of what you speak and what your wife considers unforgivable: she was born in Moose Jaw! I suspect I know your community. When I next travel down Elbow Drive, we must share a beverage!

Elbow Drive passes by just two blocks from our domicile. And Haysboro is the next neighbourhood to our north.
