Had to drive my son to work today.

The master cylinder in my son's 65 IH went out, so he needed a lift to work this morning, a chore I never shirk. He is a wildland firefighter for US fish and wildlife and is housed at the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge about an half an hour from here. We stopped at Burger King on the way and bought breakfast. After I dropped him off I got stuck in traffic, but was able to find a quiet place to eat in peace.

These fellas were kind enough to use the shoulder.

These two didn’t care that they were holding up traffic while my crossainwich was getting cold.

Finally, I was ablebto find a quiet place to eat my crossainwich in peace away from the hub bub and finish my coffee.

You are lucky he didn’t know you could be having a relative for breakfast. Beautiful beast….the massive herds must have been something to see, until shitty man wiped them out.

Those are impressive beasts. We see this little lady run twice on game-days. Best part of the game usually.

it always amazes me to see tourists try to pet these monsters. I’m the proud owner of two NPS T shirts “Don’t pet the fuzzy cows” and “You can’t fix stupid, but I can. It’s gonna hurt”

On pay day when I was a Mountie we used to say: “The Buffalo shits today”.

Definitely magnificent animals.

Just curious, were you wearing a watch on this drive?

I love how only one of them still has his hat on.

For those of you who aren't aware, these guys can run about thirty-five miles an hour (the buffalo, not the white guys).

Nope. As much as I like watches I don't tend to wear them when I am not at work, or someplace where I have to keep track of the time.

When she makes the turn and gets a look at her trailer, she really turns on the jets.

We liked them so much we put them on the back of the nickel:

Best mascot in sport, IMHO. Saw it live years ago in the Orange Bowl when Colorado played Notre Dame.

I say it is time to start a petition for Florida to get a live gator to bring out on the field.

Almost impossible to train an alligator to do anything. Besides, they live in lakes all over campus. You can see one anytime you like.
