I'm not sure about the colour change thing, this is a fairly new variant in the Seiko catalogue. I tried to buy one directly from Seiko USA a few months ago but it was sold out, got an e-mail yesterday saying they are back in stock and I put in an order about 30 seconds later 😀

Well, Hello Cousin!

This belonged to my Grandad and dates from 1924. After a thorough going-over it runs as if it were a chronometer (in one position, anyway).
