Those 773x movements are like diesel engines of the watch world: Not racy or exciting but are workhorses that do the job and will run forever. I have a couple.

First up: the "Big Block". ST 398.0836 cal 1511 Marine Chronometer. Started ticking as soon as I dropped it in.

Comes with my 30 sec, 30 ft warranty, which ever comes first! 😜

Here is my Valjoux 7733 from around the same year as your Croton….bulletproof movement…like your Croton, prettier on the outside than the inside. Love your Croton…yet another watch to keep my eye out for. I’m raising a glass of cheer to you on your birthday. Cheers!
