I’m ending the day with Oisin O’Malley unboxing a Rolex Milgauss. Polarizing watch. I was admiring the Omega Railmaster’s lume and thinking about how this watch, a tribute to the past, is both more attractive (subjectively) and has a much greater resistance to magnetic fields (objectively) than a watch whose very name refers to its resistance to those same fields.
I’m impressed that the model, like the AirKing that finally got the zero it always needed, has held on. I genuinely appreciate the iconoclastic watch enthusiasts who proudly sport either one.
