·Headed for the Rocky Mountains again, for a few days. Time to shelve the Accutron 214 Railroader I’ve worn for a week, and to retrieve something serviceable (and expendable) for 5 days. I never wear this Hamilton Khaki except for times like this. Too small for my big wrist. Now all I have to do is to remember to wind it! The bracelet is one of 50 that I bought at an NAWCC Mart, for $20.00.
Great watch. There were more than a few of these bouncing around my house when I was a kid in the 80’s. I think my dad would impulse buy at LL Bean and Abercrombie. He’d hand ‘em out like candy.

·Yes. We were not issued watches when we entered U.S. Navy pilot training in late 1986…so I went to the NAS Whiting Field Navy Exchange and purchased the Seiko 6309-7049 during primary pilot training…I consider it my first watch as an aviator.
