Yesterday was my last day at work. Was wearing my late run Foxtrot Oscar India Sierra as @Mad Dog would write. This morning my wife surprised me with this retirement watch. We love Detroit so it’s a wonderful memory for my first retirement breakfast. Oh and I have already called first dibs on Doug’s Rolex (next post).

@Duracuir1 ,

Out of the traces, at last. No longer harnessed to the “whiffletree”. On the topic of harness, why not branch out and diversify, now that your time is your own. As to,your trip west, give us your ETA. 😀

Congratulations on your retirement! It takes quite awhile to adjust to not working, but you’ll love it 👍. Don’t listen to those who say they’d be bored - there is so much to do! I retired in 2014 at 57 and I have been busy as hell ever since.

Following the “Aqua Terra Conundrum” thread, and everything else I could find online relative to AT colors and size choices, I bought a BLUE Aqua Terra 38 on the bracelet last Friday morning. “We” also bought a ladies Aqua Terra, size 34, with a mother of pearl dial and diamond indices.

Pretty damn expensive day, but we had a big week with a couple major milestones to celebrate: my doctors told me I was cancer-free on Monday, and My First Wife turned 60 on Wednesday. So, we cruised over to Barrington to see my watch guys, George and Al.

Congratulations!!! Huge and wonderful news. Seems like a great reason to buy a new watch or two.

That model is on my buying list!
Of all the Omegas out there they are the ones that most appeal to me.
I like to wear it, it's nicely bulky tbh

I would not sell that mate.
I guess so...

Tuesday Tissot, happy to have gotten this from our dear @Syrte

1965 Seamaster 166.003 today. This was a nice eBay find. All it needed was a movement service and a new strap.

Happy Lunar New Year...which counterintuitively means...NO moon! 😜

How 'bout a sunrise instead! 😎

Great news indeed Pete! My five year appointment is coming soon!

Did you sell it to Colin, who sold it to me? It actually has a very nice bracelet with it as well…

Yes, I did sell it to big Col.

The bracelet is indeed very nice. It was always quite small so I had an extra link added during my ownership. Definitely a very special little watch. It came from HQ Milton originally.

Short sleeves to bring in February on Speedy Tuesday. Just wait though.

Disregard time and date as it's not reset since we moved. We'll return to this later in the week to see a different set of weather circumstances here.
