Going TV shopping 65 inch

Really wanted an LED backlit TV for their lower power consumption but might just have to opt for an OLED

Difference of $13 a year. You want OLED for that pitch black. Once you OLED, you’ll never go LED.

What I am replacing is an old early 2000's Panasonic plasma which sucks power big time, when I worked out the cost difference between my one and a new led tv I was saving over $NZ100 a year.
The difference between a modern 4K led and a 4K Oled is much less but significant with the Panasonic Led using about 320 wh per year while the Oled about 550 wh, so still a significant cost but nowhere near that of my original Plasma.

I know which plasma that is. It’s a popular model. Indestructible.
Have you eliminated 77” size OLED? It’s nearly $1000 more than 65”, but 12 diagonal inches is a MASSIVE difference.

Growing up we all dreamt about flying cars and tv thin enough to tape to the wall. We don’t have flyin cars, but 77” oled is damn impressive. I highly recommend it.
Anything 4k on that beast is a pleasure to view.
Go big. Go big. Go big…continue chanting…
Unless it’s a bedroom tv, then it’s out of your jurisdiction.

I know I know, really want a 75 inch but its just a little big for the space.
You can go too big, one of my cousins who retired to a camping ground out of the city with a purpose built small house put an 84 inch in, waaaaaaayyy too big.
