What fresh hell have you unleashed? That looks like the grossly oversized gilded garbage sold in mall stalls in the middle east. While it's not the hands-down winner for ugliest, most repugnant horological horror I've ever seen, it is definitely in the running.

One of my cheapest and most cheerful 'daily drives' - electronic but *not* quartz ... yes, all the way from July 1974, a late-model Citizen Cosmotron 7803A day-date with flyback second function (activated by button at 8 o'clock).
