In 1948 Thor Heyerdahl & five crew members set out on a journey from South America to Polynesia on a wooden raft to prove the possibility of contact between the civilizations of the two regions in ancient times. The name of the raft was KonTiki. Crew members are said to have worn Eterna watches due to their rugged design and proven waterproof nature. In 1958 Eterna decided to celebrate its involvement with a new sports model - the Eterna KonTiki and later introduced its diver, the Super KonTiki - 1st generation Eterna Matic Super-KonTiki Ref. 130 IPT/A - cal. 1424UD from 1962.

177210
Edit for clarification: it’s a 177210; but knowing she’s not a bracelet fan, I had a RubberB strap on it with the bracelet to the side on the cushion when I gave it to her. The white strap is probably throwing you off.

Wearing this one today. And yesterday on my bicycle ride, came across the tourtise that lives in our neighborhood. I usually see him (or her) every other month or so.
