Very out of character for me but picked this up brand new today on a whim at a local shop - Bulova Sinatra line 'My Way' tank - simple little quartz piece really but quite a looker in person; this pic does it no justice IMHO and it looks classy as a Patek Gondolo at about 1/55th the price...well, almost as, anyway.... 😉

All said and done; I'll probably end up keeping this longer than I ever do a Gondolo, if I ever get one! 😀

Didn’t think enough light for the Speediorite in this music venue, but:

Latest acquisitions today.

Had to drive 10 hours to get the Howard Miller and got a speeding ticket in the process too 🙁 but oh so worth it! 😀

Been playing with chimes all day ( 3 different chime tunes), its remarkably accurate so far.

Its still accurate to the second when I first set the time last night, 24 hours later, have yet to set the moon phase.

I am quite pleased by the Enicar, this is my 2nd one with this dial and movement but the other one has a gold plated case as opposed to this stainless case.

I don't know what the story with Enicar gold plated cases is but they are truly one of the worst in terms of longevity of the gold plating with many examples I have seen and owned prematurely wearing and flaking. I have another Enicar 25 jewel at my WM at the moment and its gold plated (only 10 micron ) case is almost entirely devoid of plating , not flaked but worn off, more like Chinese gold flash rather than Swiss GP.

Have a great Sunday all. A dear friend is in the ICU with an intracerebral hemorrhage. Reminder to all that our timepieces don’t only tell time, they mark the inevitable passing of it.
