If you smile at me, I will understand
Cause that is something everybody everywhere does
In the same language

I can see by your coat, my friend
You're from the other side
There's just one thing I got to know
Can you tell me please, who won?

Say, can I have some of your purple berries?
Yes, I've been eating them for six or seven weeks now
Haven't got sick once
Probably keep us both alive

Wooden ships on the water, very free and easy
Easy, you know the way it's supposed to be
Silver people on the shoreline, let us be
Talkin' 'bout very free and easy

ha ha purple berries

My mother dug out my father's 2001 DJ 16233 tapestry champagne dial from the safe deposit box yesterday. She thought to sell it. I'm going to keep it!

Your Rolex appears to have had little or no wear! Pristine, I think is the word that applies. The watch will last you longer than the money will last your mother. Think of it!

For you, suddenly it's raining Datejusts! Congratulations for keeping this one in the family 😀

Boctok for the evening, occasionally consider parting with it but always end up putting off the day 🤔

Exactly! I don't think my father wore it more than a few times. The bracelet has little to no flex/stretch with just some scratches on the clasp. I do have to service it (just need to find a good one in NYC area) as it's running about one minute fast and the crown screw is a bit tight.

While researching for a new DJ 126234 a few weeks ago, I discovered a few things I wanted in a DJ that I didn't want in the 126234, such as: slimmer hour markers, tapestry dial, champagne dial, super jubilee bracelet.

So after getting a 2016 DJ 116234 a couple weeks ago and now keeping my father's 16233, I may not need a black dial Rolex (in the immediate future). Haha 😉
