Hey @Lou P , welcome to California! You're fortunate to be able to spend some time in the Livermore Valley, my job brings me there frequently and it's also one of my favourite places for snapping landscape photos. Here's a shot of a newly-planted vineyard (new in 2009) just outside the town of Livermore. I still go back to that vineyard from time to time to check its progress. Obviously, this photo has a bit of a surreal look to it -- I did this when HDR processing was still a novelty and I blended the component images manually in Photoshop. I actually sold this image to an advertising company and made a whopping $50. This shot was also taken on the outskirts of Livermore, not far from the vineyard shown above. I had just purchased an old Pentax K1000 35mm film camera on eBay, and this shot came out of my first roll of film (which I processed myself).
Seven days, seven divers. Day #2 I believe this is (arguably of course) the best (so far) new diver of the new millennium. The titanium case with integrated gas escape valve makes it about as high-tech as you can get for a basic, true-to-its-mission diver, yet it still carries elements of vintage Tudor divers. It is by far the most legible dive watch I own, with a matte finish on all the readable surfaces, and bright white markers and numbers (no faux patina here!). I love how the date window looks like just another marker on the dial. Day #1
