...this is the point on the walk when the Pacific Ocean usually comes into view, but not today...
...and then there was this critter on the trail, a juvenile Western Diamondback...my third rattlesnake encounter since March of this year...
...but fortunately the cool weather kept this dude/dudette in a relatively lethargic state, and it was easy to gently encourage it to leave the trail. The creature was so cold it couldn't even vibrate its tail...poor thing.
