Omega Seamaster Cosmic ref 166.022, cal 565, c.1968. Watch is showing its age, dial & hands are not perfect, but that's fine for me. I like an old watch that's had a life, been used & loved, & tells a story. The crystal is original, but it's hard to get a clear pic of the tiny logo. The hands are skeletonised, just 'wireframe' around the black paint & yellow lume & nothing underneath. The paint & lume had fallen away from the hour hand, & this is the 1st restoration project for me in attempting to apply paint & lume to the hands (& it was easy!).
My old Carrera on a matching strap after many, many years on the bracelet. May find it hard to go back.
Gold-capped and wonderfully thin Eterna-matic Centenaire from 1959. 35mm but wears somewhat larger due to 20mm lug width. Feels just like a Constellation or Seamaster from the same era...
I really am keeping up the aquatic theme this week with all the flooding issues in my region at the moment, latest event was a leaking roof so may have replace the ceiling in one room for the 2nd time in 18 months
Zoom interviews today At least I’ve got a nice cal 351 to wear But I’m always fascinated by the way the light can reverse the two-tone effect
