I know I’ve posted this (new) £118 beater before but I’m still impressed by the build and design. Not just a pretty face .....

..... but also a nice caseback,

.... a signed crown,

..... and a signed buckle

mind sharing w us how that beauty came to you?
The entire current Blancpain lines are mediocre, at best! But a few LE and many vintage are to kill for.

I picked this up 4 or so years ago in the same manner I find most of my watches; luck, cunning, and mostly being dumb enough to bumble into buy first and due diligence after ; )

This model was always on my list - the original Blancpain FF is truly a landmark piece - and I just got really lucky to have one come along that needed some work.

The OEM strap was too short, and I hate wearing a watch on the last hole. Finally acquired an appropriate strap and moved the buckle over when I swapped it. Now it can get some wrist time.
HAGDA!

One of my favorite watches and movements, the prior generation SMPc with the tried and true 2500D. +/- 1-2 SPD, day in, day out. Bulletproof. Also love the glossy black dial on this model.

Excuse the extra post. Played with a macro lens for a couple of minutes to get into the finishing. I’m impressed with the applied indices and the printing.
