I was rooting through my briefcase and found my backup, backup watch that I was using on a field assignment a few years back. It features a non-replaceable battery which is supposed to last for ten years. I recall that the cost was about $US 20.00 for this watch, which comes out to $2/year. I'm really digging its lightness. And check out the water-resistance rating: 100m! Not bad, for what is essentially a disposable watch
Wow, what a beautiful patina! Is there anything more graceful than an over the decades well earned Patina ...?! Even a perfect NOS watch face cannot compare to a factory original but unique piece with beautiful patina IMHO!
Another “forgotten beauty” from the bold and colorful era of 1980s. Omega Seamaster Polaris Stainless steel/18K gold, 3-hander date, 1441 thermo compensated quartz movement. 1987/88 (build/sold). A unique G.Genta design, case in Stainless with seamless 18k gold inlay, all matt finish. At the time, this SS/18K/18K model was about 40% more expensive than the Speedmaster professional. It must be now one of the most underrated Omega series ... Are there more Polaris fans out there...?!
