·I knew a girl in my younger days who just loved to be complimented, but when it came to complimenting others, she was less than generous.
"Your hair is lovely today, Sally."
"Oh thank you. It's genetic."
And the next day...."That dress is beautiful, Sally."
"I do have wonderful taste, don't I," she'd smile and giggle. But after 50 days of compliments to Sally and not so much as a "You look nice, too," Others began to forget to comment on her hair...or eyelashes...or new handbag.
