Sticking with what Mrs. Allwoundup gave me for my birthday...because I know what’s good for me...a happy wife.
I know how everybody here loves those “is it safe to wear my exotic vintage and very expensive dive watch in the hot shower” questions. i thought of that very question not half an hour ago as I was washing the floors around the toilet and noticed the sopping wet chronograph on my wrist, covered in filthy foaming detergent filled water... then I remembered, its a late model Bulova marine star... yeah its stupid to do it but thats why I have modern watches, to wear when there’s risk of forgetting its there and doing something dopey to it. it’ll be fine. I hope.
Last of Omega Week for me. This one went duck hunting yesterday and to church this morning. Used to wear this one daily for many years until I joined Omega Forums. Was an early Ebay purchase from from a South American seller in 1999. After a few years I began to question the originality of the dial, but continued to happily wear it. Then Omega Forums happened in my life, I got a second Constellation, so this one has been relegated to when warm humid occasions indicate a bracelet would be nice. Have thought about trying for a good dial redo, but haven't seen evidence that any dial refinisher does a pie pan Constellation truly right.
Ok back to earth today. Gonna put on my vostok an do some painting in a bit but wearing my funky dial seiko for a while
Found recently, and fired up my old ‘Blonde Bond’ H357 with its first new battery in 40 years! I remember I was wearing this one during cadaver dissections in Gross Anatomy, 1981. Perhaps formaldehyde was a good preservative for the Seiko, too !
