Cool thing about having both a G1 and a G2 is being able to do a side-by-side comparison of dual vs single AR. Besides the obvious reflections like my fingers in this shot... ...in just about all situations, the G1's dual AR shows greater dial contrast. Here with just a white ceiling above, note how much blacker the hour/minute chapter ring appears compared to the single AR G2. That effect is actually across the entire dial. To my eyes it causes the G1 to have more depth and is more interesting to look at. So far I've been pretty good about not scratching it up too...YaY!

Total change today. Not many occasions to wear smaller classic watches when you work from home. So given an airing to a Patek Ellipse from 1975. I think it’s missing international travel more than me. For over 35 years it travelled the world on the wrist of the late, great British broadcaster Alan Whicker
