I like the guilloche on this, and the complications are fun!

That's a sensational looking watch !

Congratulations on owning such a unique piece of Genta's .

Thanks! The salmon guilloche really appealed to me - there are some others with a MOP dial but they never quite did it for me, til this salmon baby came along 😀

I did something to a watch today, that I have never done before. I “modded” it! I won this Rolex Air-King Date-Just in a Rolex sales contest 50 years ago. Yes! In 1971! Somewhere over the last 30 years or so, I acquired a genuine Rolex 14-karat yellow gold bezel. It came to me in its original envelope with a retail price (then) of $575.00. I’ve had it in my stash for over 30 years. I decided since this year is the 50th year of this watch, it was time to celebrate its Golden Anniversary, 50 years of ownership, by fitting the 14-karat yellow bezel to it, and to service it, likely for the 5th time over the years I’ve had it. Bracelet is not original.

Eternamatic Centenaire from 1959 that I picked up locally last week from a watchmaker's estate. Keeps excellent time and the champagne dial is phenomenal.
