I bought an omega leather strap for my mundane speedy auto from a member here. Wore it for several months and like the look. Just got done putting the bracelet back on. Took me, an embarrassing 25 minutes, 17 minutes were spent seeking the spring bars that shot across the kitchen, twice.

1944 Elgin UDT watch, 1910 Howard railway watch.... somehow doing a kinky braided leather thing without planning on it... one of @DaveK 's lanyards.... they're nice stuff!
Such a cool watch 😎

This Speedy doesn't get a lot of love from the fanboys but it's a great watch, didn't take this picture today but I was wearing it this morning.

I think the farthest I have launched a springbar is about 8 feet (about 2.2 meters for the rest of the planet). Good Times...

I did something to a watch today, that I have never done before. I “modded” it! I won this Rolex Air-King Date-Just in a Rolex sales contest 50 years ago. Yes! In 1971! Somewhere over the last 30 years or so, I acquired a genuine Rolex 14-karat yellow gold bezel. It came to me in its original envelope with a retail price (then) of $575.00. I’ve had it in my stash for over 30 years. I decided since this year is the 50th year of this watch, it was time to celebrate its Golden Anniversary, 50 years of ownership, by fitting the 14-karat yellow bezel to it, and to service it, likely for the 5th time over the years I’ve had it. Bracelet is not original.

Yes I really like mine as well been I’ve taken to call it “my mundane speedy” when I saw a member here refer to it as such in someone’s sales post. It struck me as funny now I can’t stop saying it. I like that silver dial you have as well, very legible and has a nice pop.

Late entry for me as I spent the day doing a Michigan State University college drop off run. Tool of choice: X-33 Gen1. Mission time duration logged at comfortably under 12 hours, round trip...YaY!
