Started the day with my Explorer, but have always had a weird superstition about wearing a Rolex bringing bad luck. Something, admittedly nonsensical, about being too showy / bragging and tempting bad karma. Given what a train wreck 2020 has been, I decided to take no chances with New Years Eve and switched to an Omega. Here’s hoping for better times ahead!

So, this is how I closed out 2020...thankful for Health, Family, and Friends.

...and also with tired feet and aching muscles following the last 5km march and 330m ascent of the year. I did set a new personal record for worn out walking shoes: 3 pair in one year!

A watch I don't wear as often as I should, the Bulova Accutron 214 50th Anniversary from 2010. A nice modern size of 42mm with the landmark Accutron movement which was perfectly replicated by Citizen in Japan for the anniversary series of 1000 pieces.

Wow, that's awesome. Yes, you should wear it more. I had read about these but had not "seen" one.
