I'm a sucker for oddball chronometres. Some avant-garde geometricity going on here.

This may be your biggest obscurity yet. Who? What movement? Where?

Do you like these larger 36 mm versions better than the 34 mm model you have? Judging by pictures, the one you already own is more suited to your wrist size for a gold dress watch.

However, if you decide to part with that you know who to call.... and it ain't Ghostbusters. Just don't expect me to give up mine. 😉

I like both of them equally - the 2500 had more presence and shine in real life compared to my 2499 though. I tried a Speedmaster Pro the other day too...a little big but I think I can pull it off. 😀

Pocket money purchase arrived and well pleased. May be in line for a case re-chrome depending on cost.
No Lotus for me, Sprinter 311CDI 😉

Shameless plug for www.secondtimeticking.com Horween Shell watch straps (by way of wdwrkr2 a/k/a Byron). Simply put, his straps are the best quality leather I've come across.

Other "Horween" straps purchased in the past don't come anywhere close to this quality. I'm wearing this rig right now and it feels like warm drawn butter on my wrist. 😀

Bonus: Byron is just a straight up awesome dude.

On the tools today, re-installing my alarm system and fixing up my old vintage watchmakers lathe.

Tool Day, calls for a Tool Watch.

Only one will do.

So after a little delay, I managed to get most of the day on the workshop and have the lathe set up.

On to the kitchen bench for a photo shoot, not as pretty as the one UncleBuck has, but still a nice little workhorse.

Who's going to pick the issue with the countershaft? 😉

Now only the disassembly again and cleaning and polishing, and then putting it all back together. I was thinking of giving the plate an engine turned finish, might have to wait until I get a spurt of inspiration.

And keeping me company on the task was my mate, Ω X-33.
