Wife dragging me shopping today. Very nice weather today I must say. See if you can guess what my wife is shopping for.
What I'm actually wearing today is my new Haveston Parade strap! Tryin it out on a variety of watches...I think it looks pretty good on the Pro Diver!
Lemania’s first production run of CH 27 movements was only two dial chronos that it labeled and cased for its own label. The three dial version would come a little later. Tissot got its first run in 1943 and Omega only in 1944. I believe this was one of that initial Lemania run, as the very low serial number puts it in 1942, when that run occurred. I’m convinced that this is a high end redial. Look at the 3s in the outer track — all rounded tops not flat. And, the subdials don’t quite fill their dishes. But, it’s very close to correct. The movement is very early, with some parts unique to these early movements. It can be hard to read the watch in some lights. It’s another I don’t dare wear it too often watch, with a snap back case and coffin pushers. But, it’s very striking. It joins this three dial from 1945-6, in another 18k rose gold case.
Wearing my old Speedmaster [1964] while driving my sort-of-old green Mustang [2001]...sort-of-old green Mustang trunk lid paint utilized for background...
