We never ran at that track but did run often at big shows in Penna at Maple Grove in Redding. 馃憤

路We are pretty safe here from the fire on the coast, and the smoke is high elevation, so air quality is much better than you would think, with the sky like that. I hope it stays that way, and pray for those in harm's way.

路While delving into my stash today, searching for a Gruen movement to cannibalize, I dug into a box of orphan watches that I had forgotten about, for at least the past 35 years, and lo and behold, what do I uncover? The latest addition to my collection. The movement is a 23-jewel Gruen, calibre 629SS, Automatic wind, and is in nice shape. The case is 14-karat gold shell over stainless steel. So today, I stripped it and conditioned it, fitted a period correct bracelet to it, and put it on. I鈥檓 running out of places to store my burgeoning collection of watches. What a nice problem to have. The best part of this is that tomorrow (the 10th) is my birthday. 馃榾
