Loewy's designs, and influence on industrial design, surround us to this day -- from the shape of the classic Coca-Cola bottle to the corporate logos of major corporations to the exterior graphics of Air Force One. Space-minded OFers might find the linked article of interest -- Loewy produced more than 3,000 designs for NASA https://paleofuture.gizmodo.com/raymond-loewys-nasa-designs-are-the-space-future-that-n-1645668220. Below are some photos of Raymond Loewy with one of his larger Earthbound designs, complete with obligatory watch, and a photo of my Loewy designed '53 Studebaker Starliner hardtop project sans watch photo.
The chrome wire wheels look spectacular! As an ND grad I saw many, many daily driver Studebakers in South Bend back in the late '70s and early '80s. I loved them then, and even more so today. That is a sweet car, my hat is off to Raymond Loewy. An Avanti would fit nicely in my garage...
Wearing my 167.005 this morning. Is there anything as comfortable to wear as an Omega beads of rice bracelet? I think not.
Well, I received a new distressed leather strap in the mail yesterday and put it on my Squale. Why a Squale on Speedy Tuesday? Well, there was a bit of, ahhh, shall we say disrespect shown the brand recently , and Squales need loving too. It wears well, ceramic, colors, etc. I just like it. NIB from another member.
