路Best thing about having watches put away is you enjoy them all over again when they鈥檙e retrieved.
For many, because the gold plate has worn through on the tips of its lugs, this would be considered an undesirable watch.
On the other hand, I love it for its dial
I suspect that, despite the loss of plating, this watch led a sheltered life.
Oh, and warning: I did not take these pictures today, but I am wearing the watch today.

路Looks like a more user-friendly design than the usual bracelets made in the Philippines for the USA forces back in the day. Nice adjustments for sizing.
The ones made in the Philippines were custom made and so, designed for the individual.
These were designed to accommodate the widest possible sizing by the US Government, "one size fits all"

路Oh Man that would really pop on a rivet oyster! Love stainless with gold markers and hands. Very 50's 60's snazz!
Thanks, trying to find a nice oyster for it eventually. Watch is from 1950/51 according to serial.
