Items from the summer of 1981: My 8th grade Academic Achievement Certificate awarded by Sister Mary Francesca and my recently acquired Seiko 6309-7040. YaY! Luv the 1966 copyright! That's Dover, New Hampshire, for anyone's who's wondering.
I haven't had a chance to seem another omega like it... Seems to have been a special order presentation watch, to new york life insurance company's agents in recognition of some achievement. In the less common white gold case, and with an interesting "striped" dial
A very slight tap on the bedpost the other night as I reached for a water glass, and off popped my bezel! I heard a little tinkle as it hit the floor. I’m glad I wasn’t out somewhere or it would’ve been lost. It’s actually not a bad looking watch without the bezel ~
Yeppers...Speedy Thursday...replacing the rubber on one of my Butterfly blades...using the almighty modern Speedy Gonzales Moonwatch to time the 10 minute glue drying period prior to rubber installation... LATE ENTRY: So how good is Mad Dog at table tennis? He’s so good that he beat the snot out of everybody in elementary school, middle school, boarding school [including ALL the tennis players], college [including ALL the tennis players AGAIN] and in the military. Then...all of a sudden...he was not-so-good when he joined the Cincinnati Table Tennis Club. He got the snot beat out of him by 8 year olds and 80 year olds at the club. See Mad Dog’s list of fabulous excuses below! His table tennis game was so crappy that nobody wanted to play him and he was politely asked to play the club robot [a machine] until his game improved...AND he was sent to a local table tennis coach to receive table tennis instruction. Poor Mad Dog...he was “King Shit” at table tennis...and then he wasn’t. Dang! 1. “You’re using a trick blade...with trick rubber!” 2. “That’s a trick ball!” 3. “I think that’s a trick net!” 4. “This must be a trick table!”
Started the day mountain biking with this one: https://omegaforums.net/threads/beautiful-day-to-ride-a-bike.24070/page-58#post-1563134 ..and I’m ending the day at dinner with the BB58 and a new strap:
Looks like it is time to head to bed. But..... I’m still outside and there is still to much Alaskan daylight right now. Maybe I can can just go to sleep once winter comes around.
