Greetings all, Happy 4th. I wanted to share my GS Heritage Autumn (SBGH 269) with you. Really love the red dial with the blur of red maple leafs in the background. Enjoy.

Damn I see some beautiful watches today. Good on everyone. Someone started I thread about a Maurice Lacroix. They were asking questions but I had no answers I just put up a picture of one a got off flea bay years ago and never wore it. Someone commented it is nice looking and I should put it on. Today I take that advice. Nothing special but it’s nice to use something I’ve had sitting around for so many years.

I had two identical straps laying around so I decided to distress one to see what would happen. It’s now my most comfortable strap by far. I also like the red tones it’s taken on. Now I have two different and unique straps. Image one shows how the strap in image two started life as.

Acetone helped create a broken in/relaxed feel of the leather as well as some texture. Kicked it around in the dirt for to simulate aging. Left it in direct summer sun for around 12 hours total. Finished it off by rubbing wax for my canvas bags into it with cotton. It was a fun project.

.002 comfortable on the leather - though need to remember to take it off before tackling the lawns and hedge (although it’s a tool watch - how precious we are!)
