My very early (c1940), almost forgotten Mido Multifort ‘SuperAutomatic’ finally found the light of a grey day, making it brighter!

Twas an eBay ‘diamond-in-the-rough’ (or to some, a ‘rough-in-the-rough’😁) find many years ago...

Decided to take this guy out today. I so rarely wear this one I should pass it on, but FooGirl loves it dearly.

shame this series was so short lived, and they never corrected it’s visual short comings.
I’m a sucker for a splash of red on a watch dial, comes from my days hunting for a red 1680 and that looks lovely. Is it 40 or 39mm?
I haven’t seen one before so no knowledge of the model.

I used to be a member of a now defunct forum where members sometimes posted a SOTC.
(State Of The Collection) post where they post a picture and a quick image of each. I think you would make an interesting first subject. 😀

Today I’m turning 47 so I’m going to use the gift that my dad gave me when I turned 9...
Many belated happy returns, lovely story. My son who is 10 doesn’t want any Rolex or Omega for his 21st, currently he would like my Seiko SPBC053J1

Been hankering after a Pepsi GMT lately and after some umming and aaahing finally pulled the trigger on this, the best I could afford, which arrived a couple of days ago. I know it’ll annoy some, but if so, frankly - your problem.
Maybe it will but I’m not going to fall foul of it as you won’t.Great choice looks great and pound for pound a mighty fine watch. Enjoy.
