Sweet mother of pearl, two of my favorite things! Guinness and a BLRO. While I quit drinking many decades ago, I still remember pints of Guinness with great fondness. I had this regular haunt in NYC that was staffed by Irish bartenders right off the boat. I could barely understand them and them me, but when I said "Guinness" we were suddenly family. It got to the point that when I walked in and checked my coat they poured one for me and it was waiting on the corner of the bar, doing that awesome cascading of micro-bubbles until I could grab it. Didn't have to say a word or try to get the bartenders' attention when it was busy. My pint was always there. Tipping like a drunken sailor didn't hurt. While I no longer imbibe, I still wear my BLRO!
I've been wearing a Casio G-Shock lately. The 24-hour time is great for work as we use that time format for everything. And with all this Wuhan virus mishigas going on, washing my hands all the time and spraying my watch with Lysol often to protect myself, it seemed smart to put my Speedmaster and it's leather strap on ice. My old strap was original and quite tatty. I swapped over to a DSotM nylon strap and even that was getting a bit frayed. I just picked up a cheap leather eBay strap designed for the Omega deployant clasp. Notice I'm using the more widely accepted "deployant" instead of "deployment" to describe it. Personal growth! Anywho, Speedy back on my wrist where it belongs. This strap is a hole-me-over until my Genteel strap arrives. Several recommendations here prompted me to take the leap and order a custom strap. I'm stick of waiting for an Omega boutique to reopen so I can buy a strap from Omega themselves. Plus the Genteel is cheaper than Omega but about 30%
Still wrestling with IT, definitely time for a beverage You might remember these guys from a couple of days ago although mum and dad have moved them. Mum is not going to be happy with me tomorrow as I will need to move them to another tank or they will be eaten. They will both bite me as I am doing it.
