My late 1940s Laco gives a nod to yours. The dial and the movement on this one are marked “foreign”, probably because of the prevailing mood over anything made in Germany, after WWII. Laco were originally fitting Swiss movements in their watches. Laco became associated with the German firm Durowe. After the two firms joined, Laco watches were fitted with German made movements. Mine has a Durowe movement. In the late 1950s, Durowe was perfecting its electro-mechanical (battery) movement. Timex bought Durowe when they introduced the Timex Electric in the early 1960s. The battery movement shown here is marked Timex, but it is a German-made Durowe movement. Interesting company, Laco

Fantastic bit of history there. They're using the ETA 6498 handwound movement for this one. Addee a photo of the movement below. Also, they managed to heat-blue the indices (which according to the Laco rep was a bit difficult to get just right). You have to get the lighting angle right, but the blues indices and hands really makes it pop...

Great intentions of only wearing one watch a day, three days in and that intention has already gone by the wayside ::facepalm2::

Trying out a new strap arrival. The Watch Steward poly strap, minimalist style.

I was expecting their name on the buckle, but to my pleasant surprise, it is sterile.
