I do love a white, plain dial... Especially with a new handcrafted kangaroo leather strap from ES Handcrafted from Adelaide, Australia.
New acquisition, CWC issued diver RN 300 ... ... number 300, batch 1997, possibly the last one issued this year as no higher number has been seen so far (until proven otherwise) How cool is that ?
Grandpa’s Tissot Visodate Seastar Seven today. A monoblock cased caliber 784-1, post major overhaul as it was in need of much TLC, which it has deservedly received due to: surface corrosion pretty much everywhere on the movement, corroded balance cock, broken arbor and something that I haven’t yet been able to adequately translate “kaum Zeigerreibung” which seems to be something to to do with the way the hands are driven (via friction?), which would explain the pre-service arbitrary relationship between hour and minutes hands I guess. Anyway, all is now good thanks to Meister A. Lalla Uhrmachermeister in Hamburg.
