Yes, I actually took the time to service this beast. Runs like a top. For you connoisseurs, it’s a Ronda cal 1217-21.
70s funk.

Some may not like leather straps on dive watches. The watch is no longer suitable for diving anyway. And I made the strap with a glove that was older than the watch...

The ole Speedy is back from it’s 5 year service. Judging from the parts returned its sporting a new crystal and stem. I think I’ll run it for three days and see how it made out

Now that is very, very cool. You made your own strap from an old ball glove. It looks terrific. Is that the actual donor glove? How would you feel about slicing out another? Two of my favorite things together: Old mitts and old watches. I'm an A2000 man.

I played a lot of fast-pitch softball. This my glove that I bought more than 30 years ago....

That's what I mean. That is in amazing condition and appears to be a made in USA model, which are outstanding gloves.

Back to my everyday watch today.
Bought it 10 months ago with a dead rechargeable battery for a token payment, previous owner was quoted $200 to replace the cell !!
So I replaced the cell $10 and got a new lens fitted by my watch maker $25, all done, looks like new and has been on my wrist as my every day most of the time.

I’m not sure about putting mine on. As I mentioned before it doesn’t seem very substantial
It’s actually fine and quite comfy. No issues with being flimsy or anything and the Velcro is super sticky
