Our local vintage classic car & vintage day today , Some lovely motors & bikes on show . The triumph herald estate is exactly the same colour as the one my Dad had in the late 60s ,early 70s & brought back lots of happy memories , I even remember the reg no , FCC 925F . Hope you enjoy the pictures ,

Second photo reminded me of the car in which i learned to drive and eventually had tons of fun with it: My late dad's Mk. 3 Cortina. Ours was the 1600GT version, British racing green with quad headlamps, bucket seats and slightly tweeked Pinto from the factory (which translates into one double Weber, wilder cam and tubular exhaust manifold). I had done almost everything with that car and once i even managed to squeeze 10 people in it...::facepalm1::

    Great times.

Reminds me of the time I got a spam tin opener & hammered it flat & that it could be used to start certain cars that had the ignition in the dashboard ( I heard this is school from one of the older boys ) I then used it to start my Dads Herald up that was parked in the garage with my younger brother in the passenger seat ,I was about 13 at the time , but unbeknown to me Dad had left the car in gear & when I started the car up it shot towards the garage doors .... Minimal damage caused to the car or garage doors , Dad only said no more driving cars until your 17 . Oh happy days & Sums my Dad up really , one chilled out man with a great outlook towards life .
