Some may say time has not been kind to this one. I say time has aged this to “patina perfection” status. - 1960’s Mathey-Tissot SeaNymph Skindiver- Ref. 1632 - cal. FHF 73-4N.
SKX007 on the wrist today (gotta get that crystal replaced, that gouge near 12 bugs me!). Hope there are other Seiko lovers here too! Happy Labor Day!
The A17A Bulova is easily as good as any thing else out there, so why are they so under rated/valued? Not that I’m complaining, it means I was able to buy a quality military watch for chicken feed.
Yes. There were a couple of nasty gouges in the crystal that polished out nicely but apart from that it was in great condition. For some reason these are often poor condition. The dial is slightly textured so the inner and outer rings swap between white and grey depending on how the light hits it and the numerals and markings shine nicely.
It's a clock frequently used in international car rallying along with a matching chronograph, not a specific model of car. Lots of history here: http://www.onthedash.com/master-time-overview/
Bulova watches are ubiquitous; many quality watches out there for less (then say) $300...yet they still maintained a strong design balanced with decent movements. No doubt they are a great watch value. Acquire them and wear them.
