Off to great start. Got the blue screen of death off my computer and whittled it down to this message Looks like a new PC for me today
Lovely MCC there @dougiedude.... really tasty. Coincidentally, I just checked my MCC on a Geiger counter while at my watchmaker, and it was hot -confirming radium on the dial/ hands- but not overly so.
Just picked this up from my watchmaker. My dad's 145.022-69 purchased new by him, now fitted with a nice tritium step dial and handset. The dial/hands replaced the superluminova dial/hands that were installed at an Omega service commissioned by him back around 2000. I recall him not being pleased by what was done, but I'm glad the DON escaped replacement then. This is now in a condition close to what I recall seeing him wear daily when I was a kid Thrilled to now have it back "as was" - patina, bezel pock marks and all...
Handed my youngest my SKX to wear because he seems to be fascinated by my dive watches - mostly due to the clicky bezels. 15 minutes later I found it abandon in our garden fountain. Apparently he wanted to test the water resistant
Early birthday present. I began coming to this site because I wanted a vintage Omega and got one. Now here I am with a modern Speedy and I want more.
