Here it is! Don't know, I still think it lacks a little something... the one on RJ's blog is a richer darker brown.
Ah well, I guess this means I definitely 'need' a custom strap for this new baby 😗
Personally I think a lighter tan strap works better with a black dial. Adds a bit of contrast! 🥰 Love the watch!
Today I'm wearing my 1000M. It was serviced in 2008 at STS in the UK, the owner at the time elected to have the dial, hands, date wheel and bezel replaced with NOS. Fortunately when I bought it last year it came with all the original parts, bar the hands. I called in to see STS a couple of months ago and dropped off a few watches, including the 1000M, along with the original parts plus a spare set of hands I found on eBay. Simon Freese at STS looked after the restoration of the dial, which had some paint missing, and matching the lume in the hands to that on the dial. The watch was serviced and put back together with the 2008 date wheel (the original had the crown on the right, not so comfortable). It came back this week, I think it looks fantastic and suspect it will be welded to my wrist for some time.
The new one (ref. 3725). I will have to get used to the bling factor (something tells me it won't be a problem 😉 )
The last few shots are by the collector/watchmaker from whom I acquired it
What an amazing watch, I love the styling and the condition is incredible 😀 And it looks like it was 5 to 10 for about 30 years with that singed radium burn!
Is that bracelet original to the watch and what are the dimensions?
