·I'm HeadphoneAddict on Head-Fi.org forums, and I'll be at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest and CanJam this September in Denver/Aurora. I found the forums to become fatiguing with the same old questions asked over and over. I also could not keep up with all the newest developments in other brands than my favorites - it was costing me a fortune.
I have a plethora of DAC's and Amp's, but my big rig has a PS Audio Perfect Wave Mk2 DAC feeding an Eddie Current ZDT tube amp with the partial silver transformer upgrade. I use a Moon-Audio silver dragon balanced cable with my HD600/650 or Audeze and HiFiMan headphones, and their Black Dragon cable with my HD-800.
I also use a CEntrance HiFi-M8 with my MacBook on all my headphones and IEM, or their BlueDAC for my Balanced Westone and JH Audio in ear monitors.
PS: My only Audeze headphones are the LCD-2 V2 and Mobius. My HiFiMan collection is more extensive, including the most recent HE-1000se with balanced cable and HE-1000 v1, Edition-X V2, HE-560, HE-500, HE-5LE, original HE-5 V1, and HE-300, plus the RE-1000 IEM and RE-2K.
The current HE-1000se are some of the best headphones I've heard that one can live with day in and day out. They even upstaged the HE-1000 v1 that I have. And the Edition-X that were discontinued recently are fantastic un-amped, and more lively than the ones that replaced them (albeit slightly colored in the midis).
Most of the Audeze planar magnetic headphones are too heavy for me - they hurt my neck.
