Glad you like it, and grateful for the compliment. However if I ever sell it, which is highly unlikely, first dibs will go to the good gentlemen over at the Military Watch Ressource Forum, whose wonderful posts and generous guidance helped me learn so much about issued watches— including this one which I could never have acquired without the support of their expertise.

I brought a few ‘extras’ that he wanted to see:

Heading off on holiday tomorrow and the Newmark will be on duty again, checking the weather forecast and it is dropping according to my
trusty early marine barometer that to be honest I pay more attention to than the broadcast reports.
Sometimes the old technology is the best

Usually I don't, but I'll probably be doing a lot of exploring...

Yay!!! You’re wearing it!!! I’m sure it’s thrilled to feel sunlight on its dial again.

    Mongrel redial Omega Monday.

If I'd only joined OmegaForums mere months before rescuing this one from Ebay I'd have probably been savvy enough to have avoided it.

    Despite all, it's a fine-running Seamaster with a 520 movement from 1959 and I've enjoyed it.
