My two day old Speedmaster on a Haveston “Roundel ‘43” strap, swapped off my Hamilton Field Mechanical. My daughter is down in DC this weekend and she’s visiting her great-grandfather’s grave in Arlington National Cemetery, so I’m kinda feeling my military roots today.
Overdue wrist time for my 3552.59 Speedmaster Racing. Weird fame-to-claim on this one: of the gazillions of Speedmaster variants, I think this is the only 42mm mooncased Speedmaster with >= 100m WR and all-white hands. Here's the logic: All Moonwatches have lower WR Ealier auto Speedies were smaller or had lower WR. BAs and Schumacher models of its era had metalized hands. Later 9300 models are larger or cased differently. Who cares, you ask? Well...I suppose if you luv the Moonwatch's famous case design and all-white hands legibility, but desire better WR,...oh and an automatic with date...I think this is weirdly, the only option!
