Just bought this...35 years after buying the quartz version as my first proper new Omega. Finally got the auto version. My daughter immediately said...Mercedes. Will go with my 1986 560SL in the garage.

Did anyone take . . .

. . . the under?

😉

I think I remember you posting this on PuristS before, one of the GS references I have never had the chance to handle/own but is always on my radar. Anyways, a great example, and hope to land a similar condition 5646 with the brown/gold dial at some point!

Bulova on the wrist today to keep warm from the rare bout of snow outside.

And a post of my non-GS "Snowflake" from yesterday:

Having spent all of yesterday starting the sorting of dads estate with the siblings, i brought his little quartz home. Charming little thing for a man who loved and knew so much about railways.
Sorting the estate with Siblings...sorry for your loss..hope it stayed civil. Mine was fight club for a while.

Mudu Monday.

Someone clever probably could rewrite the lyrics to the Mamas and Papas tune "Monday Monday" to fit.

Love the lug sculpturing amongst many things on this Swiss made Hamilton/Illinois timepiece, just not the added crown.

My first Omega. Bought it 6+ years ago.

I asked my wife today if she liked this watch, she simply responded that all my watches look the same.

Thanks! It was serviced by Ohira-san immediately after acquisition four years ago, and remains one of the better performers in my collection.
