Totally agree... the service cost was more than I paid for the watch and it’s still worth every penny of that for sure....I managed to track down the correct nos crown which will be the finishing touch to this classic Tissot....
Been travelling since last night on our way to Egypt! My first time to the African continent. It's after dark now but am at a hotel 5 minutes from the pyramids ,so connectivity permitting, I should be able to share cool wrist shots in the coming days.
We flew Royal Jordanian and this pic is while we were doing a plane change in Amman, Jordan. YaY!
This one surfaced today. Haven’t worn it for a long time. Hardly a grail watch in the eyes of many, but I like it. Early 1950s caliber 352 bumper automatic. The watch you see is not the watch I acquired. It came in a gold filled case that, I am certain, someone had set out to purposely destroy! Beyond salvaging. Dial also sadly deteriorated. Fortunately, the movement had not suffered. I acquired this one via bartering. The previous owner inherited the wreck, and several other watches he wanted fixed. The deal was, I would service three watches, and the basket case Omega became mine. I got into my stash, and found this stainless steel Omega case, and an Omega hour hand, and a better dial. I serviced the watch, fabricated a “dog’s leg” case clamp for it, fitted this dial, and set it up with the steel case. It is an excellent performer, and sweat equity is partly why I like it.
