I got all that maximum weight chart figured out (assuming that ZFW means "zero fuel weight") except for that silly "taxi weight" which is a mere 500 lbs. more than the "takeoff weight." In the overall scheme of things, "things" being 83 tons of loaded airplane, what difference could the 500 lbs. truly make?

The difference it makes is likely the reason I'm not flying the skies and you are, even if "Fate Is the Hunter" by Ernest Gann is one of my very favorite books. http://www.bookrags.com/studyguide-fate-is-the-hunter/#gsc.tab=0
