Yet another ultra cheap Chinese watch - it looks absolutely stunning in the flesh, my Omega's haven't had any wrist time for ages!

Back home from a long f***kng haul. Montreal, Valleyfield, Pittsburgh....Dillon SC?! Then back home. Shaking off the "truck lag" (yes...I believe there is such a thing! 😉 ) with my elder statesman. This is the watch that has stuck around with me the longest in this crazy hobby. A whole 10 years!

Doing a little contemplating of my "tally". It'll be a year soon. Where did the time go? I just can't get over how time flew since I chose this career path..

Cheers,

Come on, Dillon, South Carolina is home to an American treasure, Pedro's South Of The Border...I hope you stopped in and took time to smell the coffee.

As kids in the '60s-'70s, my brother, sister and I used to beg our parents to stop and stay the night at Pedro's during our annual spring road trip from New York to Florida. I never got to stay there as a kid, but did as an adult. Several years back I was supposed to fly from New Jersey to Florida with my three young sons and meet up with my wife at her parent's place to celebrate her father's 90th birthday. A hurricane hit the East Coast and our flight was cancelled as we were driving to the airport. My sons were bummed that they weren't going to make it to their grandfather's birthday party. So I turned the car south and told them we were taking a road trip. We rolled into Pedro's at 1:30am -- it was lit up like the Las Vegas Strip. My boys thought it was great. We splurged, and stayed in the bridal suite. It took forty or fifty years, but I finally got to stay Pedro's.

Some photos of a bygone American roadside attraction....hope it brings back some memories for other OF members....cheers.
