Guess I need to start sweeping up these leaves. It's quite a small watch (36mm) but quite chunky, and I love the metallic blue dial.

I’m embarrassed, but not enough to take it off. ::shy::

(@Castle4444 : Thanks again for this caseback! It really completed the watch!)

I am wearing this little 32mm Seamaster at least part of the next few days to see how accurate it is before I put it in my friend's jewelry store on consignment. I think it is pretty accurate, but at 32mm, it keeps getting pushed to the back of my rotation. It is a horrible thing, but now that I have a Speedmaster and a few other 38mm chronographs, along with some larger 36mm vintages watches, all my vintage 33mm Hamiltons, 28mm tanks or even the 34mm Rolex all seem too small. If a watch isn't as large as Norman's 35mm Constellation, it just seems too small. And when I first became a member here a year ago, I thought you were all just a bunch of size snobs. See what you have done to me? LOL. Although, every time I look at this watch I think, "I should keep this.". Maybe there is hope for me yet. ;-)

In 1982, cruising the Aegean Sea on our honeymoon, a guy from Australia we were hanging out with, asked to see my -74 Speedmaster at the dinner table. It got passed around, with everyone marveling at how big and heavy it was. More than one guy at the table said they’d never wear something that big on their wrists, and they thought I was being crazy to do so.

I guess it’s a little like what happened to boom boxes back in the day. Suddenly, bigger was better.

Now, these Speedmasters seem a little on the small side for a tool chronograph.

Confession: At the time, I too thought the Speedmaster was a little too big and heavy. That’s why I adopted the Explorer 1 when I found it in a second-hand watch shop in 1987 (coincidentally the best watch investment I ever made — it was only around $475 or so).

I don’t feel that way at all now about Speedmasters. In fact, the titanium 45th Anniversary Apollo 11 feels too light when I wear it.
