Going retro today, and for a few days. Livin’ in the past. It’s 1968 again. An era when men wore platform shoes, liesure suits, brightly printed shirts open at the front, nape length hair, and gaudy neck chains. Well, some did. Not me. How many previous owners might this watch have had? No idea. But I get the impression few of them actually wore it. A candidate for the “ugliest” watch? With 28 mm lugs, it’s a b - - - - r to find a strap for.

Back to Ed today, the UK one.

The -64 went back to the spa again because it’s still stopping when partially still wound, but not on the minute clickover. And the Istanbul Ed is still waiting for a reset hammer, currently in the mail from Germany.

Sigh.

Thank goodness I have this face to look at anyway!

Popham Beach today with my wife and daughter on Labor Day weekend. Blue sky, blue water, blue off brand chrono on a matching blue racing band.......what could be better?

I like the post but couldn’t bring myself to press the ‘like’ button in case you thought I liked the watch. ....... still, each to their own 😉

Well! To be honest, I don’t especially like the style of the watch either. No uglier than some other watches that we see here. But it is, after all, a watch, which is what this thread is all about. If you have learned that this style of watch was where watch styles were, for men, 50 years ago, then you have learned something.

Here’s another from unique design from nearly 50 years ago. The battery is brand new tho. Uglier than some, not as ugly as others 😜
